Thursday August 3rd – The NSB Shrimp and Seafood Festival
The 10th Annual New Smyrna Beach Shrimp and Seafood Festival will be held on Flagler Avenue on August 3rd from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Several local restaurants participate in this fun-filled event where they compete to win “Best of the Beach” awards related to shrimp, fish, shellfish and specialty dishes.
The event will feature both seafood and non-seafood options, beverage bars, live bands, vendors, and community group stands. Stop by if you happen to be in town!
Saturday August 5th – First Saturday on Canal Street
During the first Saturday of each month, a variety of art vendors set up shop along Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy artist talks from some of the area’s leading artists and a variety of galleries with group and solo exhibitions.
Live music plays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Christmas Park which is located at 101 Live Oak Street. There’s something for everyone at this event. It is family friendly and always a great way to spend your Saturday when visiting New Smyrna Beach!
Saturday August 5th – Canal Street Craft Beer Walk
The Canal Street Craft Beer Walk is also held during the first Saturday of every month on Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach with a variety of local participating businesses and restaurants. A $20 admission gets you 12 beer sampling tickets, a glass, and a map with participating locations.
You’ll get to sample 2 to 3 beers at each location at a cost of 1 to 2 tickets for a 5-ounce sample. Purchase tickets during the day of the event at the New Smyrna Beach Brewing Company at 143 Canal St, New Smyrna Beach, FL or the Half Wall NSB at 501 Canal St, New Smyrna Beach, FL.
Saturday August 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th – New Smyrna Beach Farmers Market
Every Saturday you can attend the New Smyrna Beach Farmers Market which has been around since 1991. It’s held at 210 Sams Ave. between the City Hall and Old Fort Park from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and offers a great opportunity to support local farmers and vendors.
You’ll find locally grown vegetables and fruits, herbs, dairy products, fresh eggs, herbs, heirloom produce, organic meats, snacks, coffee, prepared and baked foods and more. You can also purchase arts and crafts, candles, honey products, wooden art, handmade clothing, recycled and metal art, and much more!
